It's weird what you remember from your youth. I distinctly remember watching the Chicago news (no doubt WGN) one March 10th evening, when a man, named Mario came on to tell about "Mario Day." He had declared March 10th as "Mario Day" because of its abbreviation - Mar 10. Then the camera zoomed in to a close-up of an envelope with the postal date stamp that said MAR10. Mario!
I had forgotten about Mario Day until my sister told me that her baby was due to arrive in March. I started naming off all the people I have known who have birthdays in March and then I suddenly remembered Mario Day. So, happy Mario Day to all you Marios (of whom I have never known a single one)!
